For many years, Slovenian companies have been able to compete for the national award of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) for enterprises, which encourages enhanced cooperation with public research organizations while highlighting examples of best practices in the regular and methodological use of the intellectual property rights system in business activities.
You can apply for this year’s call by September 4, 2025. Application criteria and the application form are available on the ITTC website.
The received applications will be evaluated by an expert committee. You will find out which company will receive this year’s WIPO National Award for Enterprises on October 8, 2025, at the 18th International Technology Transfer Conference (ITTC) at the University of Primorska, and the award ceremony will take place on October 10, 2025, at the Jožef Stefan Institute.
In previous years, the companies that most impressed the committee with their ingenious use of intellectual property were Hidria d. o. o., Krka, d. d., Novo mesto, Elan d. o. o., GEM Motors d. o. o., and Razvojni center eNeM Novi Materiali d. o. o.
