The Ministry of the Economy, Tourism and Sport and SID Bank are allocating one billion euros in loans to the economy to encourage investment and provide aid for overcoming crisis situations. Through this measure, the Ministry of the Economy, Tourism and Sport will contribute 270 million euros over several years, while SID Bank will add another 730 million euros to ensure more funds are available to businesses.

The signed agreements on the financing of loan funds PS8 and PS9, totaling one billion euros, are intended to stimulate investment in the economy and strengthen companies’ working capital at all stages of business. With this, the government has established a new, permanently available mechanism that will provide companies with quick access to loans during crises and other unforeseen circumstances beyond the control of individual companies, while also providing an incentive for business investment. SID Bank loans will be available as early as next month.
The agreements are the result of coordinating legislative changes among numerous stakeholders within the state administration and the economy, and they represent a fine example of creating an effective financial mechanism to support the economy.
