The European Commission and the European Investment Bank today announced the disbursement of €2.5 billion from the Modernisation Fund to support 51 energy projects in 11 EU Member States. Slovenia is also among the beneficiary countries
The European Commission and the European Investment Bank today announced the disbursement of €2.5 billion from the Modernisation Fund to support 51 energy projects in 11 EU Member States. Slovenia is also among the beneficiary countries, which will receive EUR 20.2 million.
Investments will aim to improve energy efficiency in the energy, industrial and transport sectors, and will also support the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
With today’s disbursement, financed by revenues from the EU Emissions Trading System (EU ETS), the total funding from the Modernisation Fund will reach €23.2 billion as of January 2021.
