European Space Agency call for Slovenian companies and institutions

The European Space Agency (ESA) has published the second call since Slovenia became a full member of ESA for Slovenian companies and institutions (Requesting Party Activity – RPA) for the collection of framework project proposals for selected types of activities with the aim of strengthening the space sector in Slovenia.

The RPA call is intended only for companies and academic and research organizations based in Slovenia. The purpose of the call is to strengthen the Slovenian space sector and encourage the inclusion of existing and new companies and organizations that are not yet active in the field of space technologies. Slovenian stakeholders can also connect with foreign partners from other ESA member states and European participating countries, but the foreign share may not exceed 20 percent of the total value of the project.

The tender with a total value of EUR 1,500,000 is open until November 9, 2026 at 1 p.m. .

Indicative project proposals are collected for the following topics or types of activities:

  • Type A: Research and preparatory activities
  • Type B: Development of space launch and ground technologies (English Flight and ground segment)
  • Type C: Flight Opportunities
  • Type D: Space Science Activity
  • Type F: Space (downstream) Applications
  • Type G: Education Activities divided into G1 (University study programmes leading to a qualification (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree) in space-related fields) and G2 (PhD Theses)
  • TYPE H: Space Related Courses

The call for standard activities (in English) (marked as A, B, C, D, F and G1) and the call for activities type G2 (in English) (doctoral thesis (English PhD Theses)) are published on the EsaStar portal. To apply for the call, registration in the EsaStar system is required, except for TYPE H, which is published on the OSIP portal (in English).
