This year’s 19. The International Technology Transfer Conference (ITTC 2026) will once again bring together researchers, businesses, technology transfer experts, investors, policymakers, and innovation support organizations. The conference is one of the main Slovenian meetings in the field of knowledge transfer and commercialization of research results.

The central theme of this year’s conference is:

“Strengthening Spin-Out Support Systems: Bridging Research, Innovation, and Policy for a Competitive Deep Tech Europe Enabling Research Commercialization and Sustainable Innovation through Coordinated EU and National Strategies.”

The event is aimed at:

What does ITTC 2026 bring?

Call for the best innovation with market potential

As part of the conference, a competition for the best innovation with commercial potential will be organized again, intended for researchers from public research organizations.

The best teams will present their innovations to an expert committee consisting of investors and technology commercialization experts. In addition to the professional recognition, the organizers are also announcing a prize fund of EUR 3,000. The deadline to apply for innovations is September 2, 2026.

WIPO National Award

The conference will also feature:

• WIPO National Award for Enterprises for the successful commercialization of university innovations,
• WIPO National Award for Inventors for researchers whose patented innovations have made a significant economic and technological impact.
