Do you produce prefabricated wooden houses or spatial wooden modules and are you looking for an opportunity for long-term cooperation on the Austrian market? A design company from Carinthia, Austria, is looking for a production partner for the serial production, supply and installation of expandable single-family houses. The first pilot projects are planned for 2027, and then they plan to gradually increase the production volume. Companies from Slovenia, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina are invited to participate.
A house that can be expanded when the family needs more space
The basic house has a floor plan of about 6 × 12 meters and consists of four factory-finished modules, two ground floor and two roof. It can be assembled on site in a few days. When residents need more space, they can add a module with one larger room or two smaller ones to the house. The extension is already provided for in the original building permit. They have been living in the prototype since 2018 and expanded it in 2020. The Austrian company incorporates the experience from everyday use and implementation of the extension into the model for series production. Standardized module dimensions, a uniform floor plan and a limited number of versions allow the manufacturer to establish a repeatable production process.
What does the production partner take over?
An Austrian company provides plans and arranges building permits. The production partner builds a turnkey house in the factory, including windows, façade, interior cladding, equipped bathroom, installations and selected built-in cabinets. It also organises the transport and lifting of the modules, assembly in Austria and connection to the prepared electricity, water and sewage connections. The foundations and connection points are prepared by local contractors. The production partner assumes warranty obligations for production and installation.
What kind of partner are they looking for?
- A manufacturer with experience in the factory production of residential buildings in timber frame or solid timber .
- A company with the capacity to start production in 2027, the possibility of scaling up and its own logistics, assembly and warranty repair teams.
- A partner who can ensure compliance with Austrian requirements and standards and meet the applicable CE marking requirements. Experience with deliveries to Austria or Germany and a German-speaking contact person is an advantage.
