Slovenia, UNIDO and SMIC – together for greater competitiveness and innovation
The SMIC (Centre for Smart Production and Innovation) project is implemented in cooperation with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), with the financial support of the Ministry of Economy, Tourism and Sport (MGTŠ) and the Slovenian Enterprise Fund (SPS).
By supporting the project, Slovenia contributes to the strengthening of regional economic cooperation, the promotion of innovation and the development of smart manufacturing in the Western Balkans. At the same time, the project opens up new opportunities for international integration of Slovenian companies, the exchange of knowledge and technologies, and the establishment of long-term business partnerships.
SMIC – A Hub for Business, Knowledge and Innovation
The Centre for Smart Production and Innovation (SMIC), based in Novi Sad, is a regional meeting point that connects companies, research institutions, universities, development organisations and other stakeholders in the innovation ecosystem.
An important part of the center is the SMIC B2B Community Portal, an online platform designed to connect organizations, find business partners and develop joint projects in the field of production, technologies, research and innovation.
The portal enables Slovenian companies to present themselves free of charge to the wider regional business community and establish direct contacts with potential partners.
