Extension of co-financing opportunities under the Intellectual Property Voucher

The Slovenian Enterprise Fund (SPS) plans to extend the eligible costs under the Intellectual Property Protection Voucher (V2) to provide companies with additional support in the effective management and exploitation of their intellectual property.

A key innovation is the inclusion of the costs of valuation of patents, designs and trademarks among the eligible costs of co-financing. The valuation will be able to be carried out by authorised appraisers of the value of intellectual property in accordance with the list of the Slovenian Institute of Auditors.

With the envisaged amendment, the SPS aims to enable companies not only to protect, but also to professionally assess the value of their intellectual property, which can contribute to better business decision-making, more efficient management of intangible assets and strengthening the competitiveness and market position of companies.
