In September 2026, Slovenia will host the DesignEuropa Awards ceremony, organised by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) in cooperation with the Intellectual Property Office of the Republic of Slovenia.

The DesignEuropa Awards are prestigious awards of the European Union for outstanding achievements in the field of industrial design. The criteria include originality, functionality, aesthetics, and environmental and social sustainability.
The awards will be presented in four categories: Lifetime Work, Industry, Entrepreneurs and Small Businesses, and Next Generation, which rewards designers up to the age of 29. The categories thus provide a comprehensive insight into the diversity of European industrial design – from deserving creators with a long-standing oeuvre to new talents just entering the market.
