Slovenia achieved remarkable success at this year's European Enterprise Promotion Awards (EEPA) 2025, held during the SME Assembly conference in Copenhagen.

This is a significant recognition at the European Union level, confirming the quality and effectiveness of Slovenian entrepreneurship promotion programs. The POPRI program, implemented by the Primorska Technology Park, has set a new milestone in the development of the entrepreneurial ecosystem with its victory, proving that Slovenian projects can successfully compete with the best in Europe.
At the ministry, we are especially proud to have supported projects like POPRI for many years, as they encourage young people to develop entrepreneurial competencies, innovation, and creativity. Together with our partners, SPIRIT Slovenia, a public agency, and the Slovene Enterprise Fund, we are happy to support such programs, as we believe that investing in enterprising and creative young people means investing in the future of the Slovenian economy.
By supporting such projects, we want to provide young people with opportunities to develop entrepreneurial competencies, innovation, and creativity. Through a public call for primary and secondary schools, which the ministry implements in cooperation with SPIRIT Slovenia, we systematically encourage entrepreneurship and innovation from the classroom. In many schools across Slovenia, entrepreneurial clubs, startup weekends, and extracurricular activities are conducted, where young people develop their business ideas, creative thinking, and teamwork skills.
At the Ministry of the Economy, Tourism and Sport, we are happy to support projects that inspire young people to be bold, creative, and entrepreneurial – values that are the foundation for the long-term development of the Slovenian economy.
