Yesterday, November 26, the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) 2025 annual conference began in Aalborg, Denmark, and will run from November 26 to 28. The theme of this year’s conference is “Driving innovation, decarbonisation and security for SMEs: a stronger network in action”, which will bring together more than 800 participants from around the world, including EEN network members, EU representatives, policymakers, and experts to discuss key topics such as innovation, sustainable development, and the future of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The conference represents an exceptional opportunity for members of the Slovenian EEN consortium, who are participating in key discussions and workshops. The focus of this year’s event is on improving support for SMEs, strengthening international cooperation, and exploring EU funding opportunities for innovation and decarbonisation.

Simplifikacija pravil za MSP (sreda, 26. november 2025):
In the opening panel, Hubert Gambs will present the political foundations for simplifying business for SMEs by reducing administrative costs, which is one of the key goals of the new European Commission.
A panel discussion where SME representatives will share their perspectives on simplifying procedures, along with a presentation of the progress and plans of DG GROW.
Orodja za podporo MSP v kriznih časih (sreda, 26. november 2025):
Panel o tem, kako pomoč EEN lahko pomaga MSP pri prilagoditvi na krize in preobrazbo poslovnih modelov, s poudarkom na EU strategiji odpornosti in pripravljenosti.
Tools and strategies to help SMEs survive crises and adapt will be addressed in this focus area.
Krožni energetski sistemi in dekarbonizacija (četrtek, 27. november 2025):
Panel bo osvetlil vlogo krožne energije kot ključnega dejavnika za zmanjšanje ogljičnega odtisa v energetsko intenzivnih industrijah.
The discussion will address the possibilities of using renewable energy sources while reducing environmental impact, including the increased inclusion of biodiversity in energy projects.
Financiranje za MSP v prihodnjem obdobju EU (četrtek, 27. november 2025):
Panel se bo osredotočil na financiranje raziskav in inovacij za MSP v prihodnjem večletnem proračunu EU, z obravnavo cascade financiranja in novih priložnosti za čezmejno sodelovanje v raziskovalnih projektih.
Izboljšanje zaščite inovacij za MSP (petek, 28. november 2025):
Panel bo obravnaval, kako intelektualna lastnina (IP) pomaga MSP pri širjenju na globalne trge, s predstavitvijo orodij EU za zaščito inovacij in primerov iz prakse.
Tools such as the International IP Helpdesks, which help companies protect their innovations from counterfeiting and theft, will be presented.
Digitalizacija in umetna inteligenca za MSP (petek, 28. november 2025):
Panel bo raziskoval, kako lahko umetna inteligenca izboljša delovanje EEN in podporo MSP pri digitalni transformaciji, z uporabo evropskih AI orodij za izboljšanje notranjih procesov, kot je matchmaking in komunikacija.


The event is key for all participants as it offers an opportunity to strengthen collaboration, share best practices, and connect with various European and global markets. The conference will also help uncover new synergies that will support the growth and development of small and medium-sized enterprises and enable them to access new funding, market opportunities, and innovative solutions.
