For several decades, the Jožef Stefan Institute has been actively collaborating with domestic and foreign companies to find solutions to technological and business challenges, conducting joint research and development, and transferring technologies and innovations into business and technological processes, while several Slovenian companies have also been established with the help of the Institute.
To provide insight into the currently most relevant and potentially interesting areas, the Jožef Stefan Institute recently published a catalog of competencies, services, and solutions for the economy titled Together from idea to innovation.
Optimizing ventilation efficiency in workplaces, inactivation of microorganisms and degradation of hazardous organic pollutants in water, detection of respiratory droplets to reduce the transmission of respiratory diseases, demand forecasting, artificial intelligence training, optimization of production and product efficiency, humanoid robotics for industrial production, additive manufacturing of ceramic materials, carbon footprint calculation, corrosion protection, and various analyses and characterizations are just some of the approximately 200 presented practical solutions for companies.
