Last week, the communication group of the Enterprise Europe Network participated in a working meeting in Nicosia, Cyprus. The meeting was hosted by Enterprise Europe Network Cyprus at the CYENS Centre of Excellence, one of the most important innovation and research hubs in the region.
The event brought together representatives of communication teams from various countries participating in the Enterprise Europe Network. The purpose of the meeting was to exchange best practices, coordinate communication activities, and discuss the future priorities of the network.
The importance of cooperation in times of global challenges
The meeting was opened by the Mayor of Nicosia, who emphasized the importance of international cooperation, innovation, and support for entrepreneurship for the sustainable development of cities and regions. In doing so, he also highlighted the role of European support networks in connecting businesses, research institutions, and public organizations.
In times of increased geopolitical and economic challenges, cooperation between European partners is especially important. That is why in-person meetings have great added value, as they enable the direct exchange of experiences, discussions about common challenges, and the strengthening of mutual cooperation.

Communication priorities of the network for the 2025–2028 period
Over two intensive working days, participants discussed the key communication directions of the network for the future 2025–2028 programming period. Special emphasis was placed on:
increasing the visibility of the Enterprise Europe Network among small and medium-sized enterprises,
showcasing success stories of companies that have successfully entered foreign markets or found new partners with the help of the network,
effective use of digital communication channels, especially LinkedIn,
strengthening cooperation with other European initiatives and programs.
Strengthening communication activities in Slovenia as well
The exchange of experience and good practices represents an important foundation for the further development of the network’s communication activities in Slovenia as well. The acquired knowledge will be used by the partners of the Enterprise Europe Network Slovenia network to further inform Slovenian companies about the opportunities offered by the network – from internationalization and business networking to support for innovation and sustainable transformation.
The meeting in Nicosia thus once again confirmed that cooperation between partners is crucial for the successful operation of the largest European support network for small and medium-sized enterprises.
