The conference is organized by the <a href=\"https:\/\/single-market-economy.ec.europa.eu\/index_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong data-start=\"756\" data-end=\"847\">European Commission&#8217;s Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (DG GROW)<\/strong><\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/eismea.ec.europa.eu\/index_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong data-start=\"852\" data-end=\"902\">European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA)<\/strong><\/a>, with support from the <a href=\"https:\/\/eu-norddanmark.dk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong data-start=\"914\" data-end=\"969\">North Denmark EU-Office<\/strong>.<\/a><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"583\" data-end=\"869\">The goal is to examine how the EEN network can contribute to industrial transition, innovation, and support for SMEs in a changing environment.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"871\" data-end=\"908\">The main topics of the conference include:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"909\" data-end=\"1768\">\n<li data-start=\"909\" data-end=\"1119\">\n<p data-start=\"911\" data-end=\"1119\">Innovation and start-ups: fostering the competitiveness and growth of SMEs through new solutions, protection of intellectual property, and overcoming innovation gaps within Europe.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1120\" data-end=\"1329\">\n<p data-start=\"1122\" data-end=\"1329\">Industrial transition and decarbonization: sustainability, digitalization, and resilience in sectors, including decarbonization, bio-economic solutions, circular energy, and green competitiveness.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1330\" data-end=\"1555\">\n<p data-start=\"1332\" data-end=\"1555\">Single market and global reach: improving SME access to the EU single market and global markets, including technology transfer, open innovation, and support for international trade.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1556\" data-end=\"1768\">\n<p data-start=\"1558\" data-end=\"1768\">Quality and impact: increasing the quality of EEN services, improving the visibility of the network, incorporating digital tools and artificial intelligence, and promoting women&#8217;s entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-start=\"1770\" data-end=\"1795\">Event format<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1797\" data-end=\"2158\">The conference offers a combination of plenary sessions, workshops, exhibition spaces, and interactive meetings, as well as online <em data-start=\"1909\" data-end=\"1922\">matchmaking<\/em> interactions. <br data-start=\"1972\" data-end=\"1975\">Opening and closing sessions will be livestreamed, allowing for wider participation for those who cannot be physically present.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2160\" data-end=\"2381\">Key speakers include representatives of the European Commission, such as <strong>Anna Athanasopoulou (DG GROW)<\/strong>, <strong>St\u00e9phane Ouaki (EISMEA)<\/strong>, as well as local representatives such as the Mayor of Aalborg.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"2383\" data-end=\"2454\">Why is the conference important for
